Pricing questions

The questions that come up before signing.

Nothing important lives in our heads. Every environment we run is documented to a standard handoff spec that lives in your tenant, not ours, and you own the code, the domains, the licenses, and the baseline policies, all of it in your tenant. If we disappeared tomorrow, another firm could pick your environment up from that documentation without paying for a discovery project first. Day to day, long-term contract developers work a standing queue, so smaller changes and automations keep moving while the principal engineer is deep in something larger. They are US-based, background-checked, and under NDA, and the principal reviews their work before it ships. Bigger projects pull from a vetted partner network without changing who you talk to. You set a monthly cap on hourly work, a number you choose, say $2,000, and we stop there, checking in before doing anything that would cross it. The monthly report shows every hour as it’s logged. You can change the cap any time. The whole point of the model is that you stay in control of variable spend without giving up on getting work done.
No catch. Baselines is our own product, so deploying it costs us days of work rather than a vendor invoice, and it makes every month afterwards easier to support. It sells standalone at $3,000, and comparable Intune build-outs are commonly quoted at twice that, but it’s included when you partner with us because a properly configured tenant is the foundation everything else depends on. It is a one-time deployment, not a subscription: the policies land in your own Intune tenant and stay there, working, even if you later leave us. The one condition: if you cancel inside your first 30 days after we have already completed the deployment, that project is invoiced at its standalone $3,000. If you would rather not carry that risk, say so and we will schedule Baselines after day 30. You would pay your base and any hours used for the first month, as normal, and owe nothing for a deployment that never happened.
Vendors bill you directly. The retainer covers our time managing the relationships: sourcing what you need, contracts, escalations, renewals. We’re the source, but we’re not in the money flow on vendor spend. No markup, no opaque bundling.
Change and fix work: configuration changes, builds, fixes, projects. Strategy and direction (Teams access) is in the retainer. Messaging us to think through an approach doesn’t hit the clock. Every billable hour is itemized in the monthly report so you see exactly what you paid for.
Every plan includes a block of hands-on hours per month: 3hrs on Foundation, 2hrs on Managed, 1hr on Fractional CTO. Smaller teams get more included time because that’s when the build work is heaviest; larger teams lean on us for direction and quoted projects. Use the included hours for builds, changes, fixes, anything hands-on. Anything past the block bills at $200/hr under your cap. Enterprise scope is sized to the engagement.
Your price is always $90 per seat (with a $500/mo minimum), so growing your team just adds seats. No rate jump and no renegotiation when you cross a band. What does change at a band is the tier itself: support level and the block of included hands-on hours. We move you to the next tier on your next billing cycle, with no re-onboarding and no contract change.
Yes. If you’re an edge case (a 40-person team that only needs Managed-level support, a solo founder who wants Fractional CTO access), tell us. The published plans cover ~90% of cases; the rest get a custom quote.
